removing stuck axle??????

ok. its a 57 Pontiac rear end. I got the p***enger axle out like the service manual said to do with a slide hammer. But for the life of me I cant get the drivers side to bust lose. Is there any other ways to do this without screwing everything up? Thanks

 

Well....when I had trouble removing axles I just took a chain, put the end links on a couple of studs with lug nuts to hold it, wrapped it around an old crankshaft and gave it a toss, worked every time.

 

Or just crack the chain like a whip.LOL
