Rob, I thought that was you, sometimes I used to hang around with you and your brothers at my cousins house on the corner of Gravel and Center about 30 years ago, when we were kids.

I remember they brought midnite madness to one of our scout meetings in the VFW on south park.

Your dad launched it and we all thought he was going to end up in smokes creek.

John, were all "fraternal members" of the 'Douchebags' car club..LOL
Something that happened at the Jalopy Showdown...
    but i can't remember everything..
There was a thick haze of Captain Morgan floating around that area that weekend :D

Obviously boones must still have that haze in his head judging by his spelling..What a DOUCHEbag!! Hahaha

Lost Angel, that 'Castle' Rambler is the one Big Chief has now....
    VERY cool car!

Mench, thanks.. I'm sure one of us has it somewhere..but if not i'll let ya know.

Who is this? I remember that night at the VFW on South Park. Those tire marks were there for years.

JaFaFa Hots was great! I watched race cars get pulled off trailers on the edge of the road, they'd run them off at the light down Harlem Rd next to the Expressway. Money would exchange hands and they'd split just before the cops showed up.

You must have down loaded that pic of our Rambler from another site or from here. I have the original at the shop.

Yup, been there, done that! Parking lot was way too small. Used to do Ja-Fa-Fa's also.-MIKE:cool:

    Krusty,

The Douchebag Parade started at the Jalopy Showdown last spring. I believe it was the combination of Caffiene, Evil, Assgasket and Dat Dirty Rat being within 10 feet of each other while Boones and PackRat32 (powered by Captain Morgan, of course) did the "HAMB" dance around one of AssGasket's famous "Gifts in a Pringles Can". The lightening struck at the right point and all things Douchbag erupted.

HA! Small world. My grandmother used to live in the apartment complex (ProvenceTown Lanes) near the corner of 240 and Milestrip. Smokes Creek runs right behind the complex. I used to go back there with other kids from the complex and raise hell back there about 30 years ago.

Also used to ride my bike up to the YMCA on Eggert Road (off 240 just outside Orchard park) and ride back on the trails around there and swim at the Y.

    Ahh, more memories.....

The Nostalia Drags at Lancaster are awesome....the Saturday before is also great because of the Willys/Gasser reunion that happens there too. Years ago the Willys/Gasser show was at a guys house off Clinton Street (Winspear actually) but they've since moved it to the track. THATS a real nice show too. I took the Rambler to Lancaster last summer for the Nostolgia Drags/car show. The A-holes parking "show cars" wouldn't let me put the car in the show because it had a primered (glass) front end and no motor. They let some late model Mustang and Camaro juke boxes in the "nostolgia show" though.....burns my a$$. I pulled it off the trailer and parked it on the oval track under one of the scoreboards and left it there all day. The original owner/builder got to see it again (which was cool) as did some kids that used to play in it when the car was left for dead behind some guys house in Albion back in the late 70's early 80's. (the 'kids' are pushing 30 now but recognized it right away)

I can't wait to get it all back together and hang the hoops with it.

Hell, yeah......Larry, Clark and Johnny Longhair had mind control over Boones, Tony and Evil for sure......how else do you think PackRat32 actually danced? Larry had the cattle prod and Tony was full of Captain. Its worked well. (Evil gave them a headache so they gave up on the charcoal in is pumpkin - must have been that Kryptonite we had)

....and I think Tony liked it.

Hmmm, cattle prods and bottles of Captain.....Hey Boones!........

Ok, I will clarify my statement... It appears that there are still a number of folks on here that did not see the number of posts last summer about being Douchebags. Was not meant as a slam, actually the opposite. Those I call Douchebags are more like family. The group includes a number of HAMBers from NY, PA, NJ and a few other places (including one Evil SOB in Cal)...

So if you were offended by my comments I appologize. Those that were not, you still a bunch of DB's...... (with our without the Captians help....)

We are not that far off from the 2nd annual fraternal meeting of the DB's

Boones, Tony, and all the other "douchebags", I was only busting on you Boones for your little spelling faux pas. No offense could possibly be taken by anyone in Rochester as we are hardy Northern boys used to scurrilous remarks by, well, by just about everyone.

All that said, my only refernce to douchebags is that most of the male type HAMBers would just love to get a little closer to where the real douchebag was intended to go! Ahhhhh, as we used to call it back in the day-the promised land!!!

Finally pulled myself out from under the project to say 'hello' from another Rochester deutsch-bag (I'm part German :D ).

There's enough guys in the area between Syracuse-Rochester-Buffalo to have a decent sized HAMB get together when the weather clears.....IF the f'n weather clears..............ever !! :(
