This is a shame. Perfectly good '55 has been sitting for over 10 years and the guy refuses to even talk about selling it. Oughta be a law. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1400883532.330268.jpg

  2. Why?,it his car and possibly he hopes to get back to it some day,it possibly has some sentimental value maybe it's his first car/

He doesn't have to justify not wanting to sell.

This reminds me of my pal Gene Cromer, for over 40 years people tried to buy his Willys and he didn't sell, unless you have been living under a rock I'm sure you have seen the Resurrection of the Moon Lighter. HRP

Agreed, that is a shame, but the law in place is he can do what ever he wants to with his property. As sad as that is...

In eastern ohio early 1980s I used to drive past this place with an early 60s corvette setting in the weeds.
To everyone that stopped and asked he would tell them he was going to restore it some day.
Well i moved away from there 5 years ago and it wasn't worth asking about anymore.
    It is a shame.

Saying "oughta be a law" was sarcasm. I'm sure that wasn't taken seriously. Also, the guy isn't able to work on it. Just saying it's a shame, the situation and all.

Looks like it's parked in a parking lot, with air in the tires and glass in place. I don't see any exposed metal either. I don't think it's getting hurt any. There's lots of '55 Chevy's for sale if you want to "save" one.

If it was laying on it's frame down in the dirt, without glass, or with paint stripped off, I might think differently, but that one looks like it'll be fine.

My '55 F100: all mechanicals underneath recent, or new; engine redone last year, 9" rear, new front '58 axle, truck is primered...I have had it, used it, and drive it daily. Bought it in 1972. People like it. I like it.

A fat farmer type walks up when I park it at the O'Reilly's parts house. "Wanna sell it?"
I say, "Nooo..." he starts again. "You oughta sell it to me, I'd fix it up."
(I can imagine) "Uhh...It's already fixed up..." Then he starts this rant: "Hard as it is to find these ol' trucks, it's people like you thet just hang onto 'em, won't do nothin' with 'em."
I said when I got done with it, I'd probably junk it. Buy a new Chevy!
