  3. Nice, your A keeps getting better!

How pricey were the pinkees backing plates, if you don't mind me asking? Didn't see them on their website.

As cool as the backing plates are I think I like the Lincoln drums even better. Just a good feel to them period wise. I guess it's hard to say what makes a brake drum look contemporary or not but those look perfect

It's already been a month since my last update. After getting the brakes all squared away, I shifted my focus back to making the hood fit the new '32 shell.

Also, I changed to Bilstein shocks all the way around. These should be MUCH better than the SoCal hot rod shocks I was running.

It took me quite a while to get the shell mounted exactly where I wanted it, reshape the top, trim the top and sides, and get the dzus fastener mounts welded in the right spots on the shell. I'm pretty sure it took me longer to do all of that than it did to build the hood in the first place!

..And there we have it - hood fits pretty good and it's all back together, running and driving again! The new brakes (12" Lincoln style) seem to work better than the previous F100 (11") setup. They look a ton better, too!

    Thanks, guys!

I'd love to make it back out east for the Revival again! It all depends on how much vacation time and travel funds I have at that time.

I thought your roadster was perfect when saw it a The Shop and the HAMB Drags last summer. I'd say it is beyond perfection now. The '32 shell and the brake change do it. Excellent workmanship!!

  21. What's your thoughts on the Bilsteins after driving it a while?

I don't think I can make it back out there this year, but I'd sure like to!
I agree with you on the Bilstiens -- MUCH better shocks than the SoCal ones I had previously.

Thank you! Were you with Tom on the Bonneville/HAMB Drags trip?

They seem to be a high quality shock and are much better than the SoCal ones I had previously. Definitely a price difference, but worth it. The Bilstiens are about $100 each.

I'm digging the backing plates as well, and have thought about bilsteins, as I have heard good things. Who did you get the shocks from?

I bought them from Eshocks.com -- They seem to have the lowest prices...

Just curious, what rating are your front shocks?

  29. Not sure what your asking? I run lever shocks only.
