Hello Friends,I just talked with Peter,He wants a set of new lifters for the V16! Does anyone make a set of Aluminum Heads for a V16? Looking for Help on this! Thanks Uncle Bill
is this the last 16 that was a flathead motor. very wide V? Anything you want for any Cad 16 you are going to have to make
Google Joe Panek. Roto-faze distributors. Joe is in California and has a race car with cad V-16 in it He would be the one to talk to.
Hello Karl,The V12 1934 Caddy is a overhead value Motor ,The 1938 V16 is a Flathead Motor! Apple & Oranges! It is looking like,"If you want, it Make It" Fire-up the CNN Milling Machine! I did hear that Eddie Edmunds made some Aluminum heads for them,Who got a set? thanks Uncle Bill
You got to love Joe's car. Crank driven blower. It sounds so racy in the lights. To bad he isn't running it lately.
Not saying Edmunds never made them, but I'd want to see the heads in the metal or in one of Eddie's ads. There were only 453 V16s produced 1938-1940. In fifty years of building rods, going to races and subscribing to the mags, I've never seen any flathead V16 production speed parts or ever seen one used in a rod. Possibly one raced somewhere, sometime; just not where many could see it. jack vines
A long motor like that would probably perform better with two or more carbs than one single 4bbl. Of course, that would entail making an intake (or two) for it.
