I was shopping online for the peel & stick stuff, kit #10455. The kits were 9 pieces 18x32". Speedway was $220, jegs was $256. I found some at Summit Racing for $138 plus free shipping. What a bargain!!

It is hard to beat Summit after you figure in the freight costs.

I bought some at an even more ridiculously low price on Amazon a year plus ago. It pay to look at a few sources just before you buy, as vendor prices change both up and down occasionally.

The stuff at Home Depot and Lowes is NOT the same stuff. It's asphalt-petroleum based, and stinks. They do have some similar stuff in their HVAC duct dept. that is a dense foam base, and self adhesive that works great though. I've used it on my last two cars, and did the whole floor and firewall for under $50.

I looked at ebay & found some better prices but I am leary of buying stuff like this from just anybody selling it. is something missing? how old is it?, etc. just more comfortable buying from a reputable company.

Ditto on Amazon. I've been totally amazed at the products and prices Amazon has. If they don't stock it themselves they have a vendor get it to you. If you have Prime the shipping is also free.

What do you use on the floor when you don't want it stuck down so you can lift up the carpet for brake master cylinder and battery access?
