  3. Thank you everyone for the kind words. I've been putting my heart and soul (and paycheck) into this car to make it exactly how I want it. I know a lot of guys will not get this car 100% but the few that do make it worth it.

I got the rear bumper finished tonight. A couple minor things left to do but for the most part it's ready for summer

Absolutely beautiful,Chris. I'm having a hard time deciding which version I like better. I guess I'll just like both versions.
The '41 Deluxe bumpers are a nice touch. I only ever saw them on cars in Don Montgomerys books from back in the day but when I bought my old '40 coupe it had them on it. They are rare and classy.

  8. Yeah they were used on a lot of cars way back but you don't see it much today. Just a good looking bumper

This is the car that's been in my head forever

Will you be at the LARS in June? Lots of us old dogs would like to see it in person. I bought the frame from under the red roadster in your photo above and used it on my roadster in my Avatar. Now I am wanting another one.

  12. No kidding!! There's gotta be a story on that. Why was the body separated from the frame? Where is that car today??

I'm not going to LA this year...although it would rule to drive it down there. The car did great on the run today. Got me thinking about more road trips in it.

  14. Great job on the roadster love it with fenders. Cannot beat 33/34's.

  15. Had it out all weekend...went on a 100 mile poker run, went to the local V8 club meeting. Everyone for the most part likes it's new look. Even the younger gals!

Wow, a stunner. It's gorgeous. I liked it before but I like it a lot more now. Interesting to see the transition photos, some of the variations on your theme could be the final product, they look that good. However, I like where you are heading and where it's at now. Nice work Chris, looking forward to seeing it in person. Now that I'm done writing I'm going to take another look at your photos.

  21. Last night I went for a stroll in the ol buggy. The weather was perfect and I needed to get out. Still a couple things that are not "right" that I need to address, but I am loving the "new" car!!

Great job on the 34. It's one of the great designs. Your simple touches only added to the fine style. Enjoy!!
