This is my grand child's great grandfathers car, Skip Hudson. Skip sold it many years ago in Riverside, California. My family would like to know where it is located. It was on the cover of the 1951 Hot Rod Magazine. Any help would be greatly appreciated. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1401861990.444145.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1401862099.797993.jpg

It was a high end car in its day, whoever bought it hadsome funds, I would guess it's stayed in cali and been rebuilt several times. Any info on the previous owners friends or shops he knew. The key players may not be with us ay longer but hot rodding is often a family thing and you might get a lead

That's a beautifully proportioned build. I too guess it's still out there. It may have morphed into something 80s or 90s though.

  5. good luck with your search. don't turn into the tart who was looking for her mother's Watson painted square-bird. quests like this can take years and even decades, not just a few posts. You may have better luck cloning it, do you have any more pictures?

Woah that car rules! I'm also wondering if you have anymore pictures you could share?

I agree with fur biscuit, cloning it may be the way to go instead of searching for years only to find the car was wrecked or transformed into a over the top streetrod.

**I actually googled Skip Hudson just to see what came up and there was an article including him in streetrodder magazine. Heres a pic swiped from the article and a link to the article

I have a 29 roadster but it has it's own personality so I can't change it to a tribute car. If I can't find Skips, I will build another one like Skips for my grandchild. Thanks everyone for your interest. I'll keep searching.
