13.99 or quicker Dave (Per NHRA rules) I ran probably 10 times and 9 out of those 10 were with a p***enger. And all of those were fairly consistent in the 13.70's. Luckily they didn't say anything until the last p***enger, because it was my wife that didn't like (too loud) riding in it..... Until I took her down the 1320 :) Now she loves it C:cool::cool:L

They only allow one Brad. And they have to be at least 16. They usually soften the rules a bit for our event unless they see something too dangerous to ignore.

Wonder if they'll allow a ride along in an open roadster like BGII?

Unfortunately no rules are bent for your FED Tyler. But for us with slow street driven hot rods, they tend to not press too hard. Main things you have to have are long pants, shirt with sleeves, seat belt and a battery hold down. I won't mention what rule is being overlooked on mine, in fear of not getting to run what I brung ;)

No problem, worst case is they tell me I can't run . . .

I only know of one thing that the 2012 NHRA rulebook says I should have but have chosen not to because I couldn't hide it and it would look absolutely stupid, and is completely overkill [RANT ON]and is part of the scam NHRA perpetuates for some safety items to nickel and dime people with more than you need and short re-cert times to keep money flowing into those companies[RANT OFF]

Yeah NHRA really blows on a lot of their decisions. But if they let you run at SIM, you'll p*** tech at Reynolds.

Several years ago I asked Ed about NHRA rules, as my fenderlees roadster falls in their altered cl***. His answer was something to the effect that if you went too fast for the safety aspects of your car (in their opinion), then you would be advised to back off a bit till you fixed the item in question. If you didn't either fix or back off, well, then they'd be forced to have a more serious discussion with you.

Found a little glitch in my roadster's suspension that may be loading the rear tires unequally, and cotributing to the squirrely launches if you get the tires spinning too much. Will do some researching and maybe some checking wheel weights individually, as a local door slammer racer with a bad *** Fox body Mustang has 4 scales. Then I won't be forced to baby it off the line.

I hope y'all can pinpoint the prob and dial in your suspension Dave. At least you have a few months to tinker with it, just don't mess around and well you know....

Not sure what shoes I had on, but the fact that I wear size 14 shoes makes most any shoes look like "clown shoes". And you know the old saying about big feet!! LOL!!
The pedals are small but the s**** type gas pedal is similar to original, and the brake and clutch pedals are repros of OEM Ford. Model "A" cowl width is several inches narrower than your pair of 32s. It does take some getting accustomed to, I admit.
Just glad the guy that originally bought the body didn't get a 28/29 as they are even more narrow than the 30/31. If that had been the case, I doubt there'd be room for 3 pedals and I'd have had to run an automatic.

This new format is well challenging to say the least  Had to go to the SFCC thread to find the link to get to this thread

Anywho Hot Rod Walt and the Psycho DeVilles are going to be playing at Summit Racing in McDonough, GA this Monday for the cruise-in from 6pm-8pm. I'll have some of those spiffy new flyers ready to hand out as well as posting them in the flyer section in the back corners of the inside of the building. Come on down to enjoy some free live music, hot rods and customs. They usually give away some pretty cool door prizes as well. Be There!

Sorry Scot, no can do. The 3rd Mon. evening of the month is a city zoning board meeting, if there's rezoning to do. I'm the vice chairman, and the city called me yesterday with the news that we had a couple of things on our agenda for a meeting this month. The weather we been having lately is none too friendly for roadsters also.
Really wish I could make it, I remember it's supposed to be an old school emphasis this montk, right! And I always enjoy Hot Rod Walt and his band.

I've got a couple of hundred flyers printed up on 4" X 6" matte finish photo stock. They look pretty cool and I will start posting them at speed shops, parts stores and anywhere else they will be seen by car guys. Also bringing a stack to Summit Racing this evening. C:cool::cool:L

Well Hot Rod Walt & The Psycho Deville's put on one heck of a show (as always) and Summit Racing had a packed house. Definitely a great evening of hot rods, customs and great entertainment. I posted up some flyers and left a stack in both back corners of the building for people to grab one if interested. Also my daughter handed out a few while trying to avoid the rat crowd

There were some very nice cars there such as a Falcon A/FX g***er, '55 g***er, a '36 Plymouth coupe, several model A coupes and one flathead model a RPU. My daughter grabbed some pics so I'll try and share them when she uploads them.

Can't wait until November and RWYB is in full swing
