So, I pulled into the Richard Nader Concert Show in East Rutherford, NJ with my India red and black '56 Ford and this identical '56 is sitting there.
Always fun when the other car has the same dress on as yours does. If I remember right that was a damned popular color combo on those that year. And a pair of matching 56 Ford hardtops in the same place at the same time has a big cool factor.
It's time to drop it to the ground, add wide whites and some '56 merc 4 bar flipper hubcaps. They will never be the same again. Nice looking '56.
Fricken' awesome... I hope you got lots of pictures of them together.. Was the interior the same also ?
i'm torn between the 56 and the 57's.... i dig this 56 big time. Fabulous Fords Forever 2014_238 by PrimerPodcast, on Flickr
Odds pretty good if it was a black deuce. Bob, That's pretty cool someone copied your stock paint scheme. I would take him to court over it.
Both have 292 four-barrel engines, Fordomatic (ugh), same interior, his is new replacement, mine good original. Mine has the same skirts, but I don't run them. The serial numbers are about 1000 units apart. Both built in Mahwah, NJ plant. The only difference in the cars is mine has the padded dash and visors and his doesn't.
