    This time the "Posies Aeroliner"

I always liked Posies work, since its so cuting edge and always leaves a huge impackt to the groud. A lot of new techniques and extreme nice and daring styling elements are incorporated.

A nice mix of rod and custom styling, coachbuilding and cartoon elements in this one. I hope to see more and larger pictures of it soon.

That's pretty cool. But Posies didn't improve on the concept drawing with the Peterbuilt style hood ornament. Other than that I like it.

It needs front fenders...and some kid to steal the hood ornament.

Sure a damn sight cooler than their old Extremeliner, though!

I like that grill angle, gives a since of motion even parked. Are you sure that is a hood orniment and not part of a fountain that feel on it?:D

I agree on it needing front fenders too: long swoopy ones. But that is amazing work!

Nope, no fenders gives it the hotrod look. I think it looks very European with high tail lights.

I've always liked Posies stuff and thought he doesn't get the credit he should.

But....there's just something about the front of that car I don't like. I like it from about the middle of the hood back. The grill and the front of the hood lack shape. Sure the grill has that ever so cool agressive look to it. May be if there was a grill shell around the grill it would look better.

I am suprised that it is getting such a good reveiw here on the HAMB. With the norm being bashing anything that's not 100 percent traditional.

This car is at the Boston World of Wheels show right now and it is getting a LOT of attention and positive feedback.

No mistaken this for anything else but another cool Posie ride!

Exactly! hood ornament is over the top, ruins the otherwise cl***y looks. And with rear fenders it needs some kind of fronts to match.

  11. Maybe just some skinny front tires.

I'd like to see someone that can photochop add front fenders to the car. Take some 28-29 Ford fronts and extent the front curve almost to the ground and then taper the back and end at the cowl.

It looks weird,it has NO cowl.

  14. Looks damn cool, but needs skinnier front tires and a way smaller hood ornament IMO. No cowl, no rad shell throws me off a bit too. They snapped the grill in place, but they missed something.

There was a guy at Carlisle a couple years ago that was selling cars with a very similar look/feel/shape... the same mix of styles, the *** end was almost identical. Can't remember the company.

Does anyone else see an SSK with a Topolino trunk lid and '32 grille?

The hood ornament just screws up the flow of the whole frond end. My first thought was that it needed some skinnier front tires covered by some understated cycle-style fenders that steer with the wheels. But what do I know?

  18. I try to keep my mouth shut if I can't say something good.

......I'm sure it was a lot of work.

.......Clark........where have you been?? This is the NEW HAMB! Did you see the post on the "Best Hot Rod of 2005"?? The posts went ga-ga over this......

........don't get me wrong, I've seen this vehicle and it is mind blowing. I love it. I love anything to do with almost any type of motor vehicle (including "tuners" sorry) But this thing ain't a "Traditional Hot Rod" in the sense of the HAMB........(IMHO)

I've seen it in person. A little much for my taste. I dig most of the other cars he has had built though.

  23. Well I have to say I like it just the way it is.If it were mine,I would probaly opt for the same overall diameter tires but much skinnier.Something about the first two pictures puzzles me a little;the first one looks like the hood is much longer in relation to the second.I realize that they are taken at two slightly different angles but that shouldn't distort it that much.Unless the first was computer-enhanced.

The reason I think that is the character line of the car in the second photo appears to flow slightly upward as it approaches the grille whereas the first one(and the illustration)have the line going straight. This could have happened if a long lens was used in the #2 photo;I think it's called,"foreshortening" or, "parallax error"or something like that.

Regardless of what anyone may think,I think Ken has done it again. He can never be accused of thinking inside the box.Just my twopence.

  24. Loogy, nice Photoshop work, I looked at that for a second before I realized what I was looking at. The fenders are a good addition, and they take away some of the Prowler feel too.

They should have stuck closer to the drawing. No hood ornament and flat style wheel caps...H

Thanks. I just added a photo of the original for comparison.

  28. Pretty interesting. I'd like the whole thing to be scaled up 10%. It looks too short to me. Not "cl***ic" proportions. And the front tires are too short and wide for my taste.

That first photo makes the hood look longer than it is. Kinda like the concept drawing. I like the long hood.

Gotta give them credit, I couldn't have built that.

I normally don't like the posies, but for a new built "rod" that is very cool, sans the hood ornament....
