    Here is my set up...53 chevy 1/2 ton...250 straight 6...GM aluminum bellhousing...S10 T5.

My question...is there a clutch fork with a hole in the end like the stock one that I can use to retain the stock clutch linkage? I have a GM clutch fork installed now that has the dimple in the end ( no hole )...can I just drill a hole in the end of that one?

I did just that. But it is very hard and I used a carbide drill bit.

I have a gm fork that I got for my Olds to GM Muncie conversion. Seems like it came from a Chevy 6 around 54 or so and has the hole if I remember right. If you can't fix yours I can get the thing and give you a model number

I still have the original 216 inline with the 4 speed...do you think the stock fork would fit on my new release bearing?....or should I just try drilling a hole in the one that is installed already for now?

might work. check the length and try the tob on it to see if it fits. Then check the pivot ball. You may have to change the pivot to the old one for it to work
