1938-1948 Ford Wheel Cylinders and Rebuild Kits are getting hard to come by, either out of stock, back ordered, etc. Average one I have found is $47-$58....:O My 1952 Buick Wheel Cylinders and $8.50 each. I don't get it. Anyway, is there any alternate ones that anyone has ever used with success, or are we stuck paying the premium?
I dont know where you are paying $47-58, most V8 Ford parts suppliers charge around $38-42 for new cylinders. If you are purchasing from the local Auto parts store all they are probably doing is purchasing them retail and adding a service charge.
