    Hey guys,

Just wondering if anybody out there has photos of the tranny cross member and gear stick location in a 1940 ford when they have done their T5 install with a Flathead.

Just after some idea of location of stick compared to the seat and what they did for a cross member.

    Thanks in advance

That would be T-5 with an S-10 extension housing you're after.

Not sure if this helps but these are the only pics I could find. Here are a couple of pics of my 35. It does have the factory bench in it. [IMG] [IMG]

This is a 36 but the shift leaver will be the same. 36 through 40 use the same frame. This is a 51 Merc 8ba and s-10 5'speed.

    Cheers John, thats perfect.

What gear stick was used in that install? Ive got the Lokar one to go on, but it may be a bit short!

    Thanks

That actually is a Lokar shift handle I bought at a swap meet.

I cut the S-10 handle just above the s-bend which made it an inch or so further forward and then welded the Lokar handle to the stub of the S-10 . It is still a little further back than the origional shifter but I think it has a very traditional look.
