I know that alot of people that attended are still on the road home, but no updates or pictures all weekend? Well guys, how was it? Anxiously waiting to hear about it..........E
The show was mostly older men that really don't do a lot of this stuff on the computer I am just getting my phone and I tried to do some so I'm trying to send them maybe the next time at the show will have some you young kids there and you can post the whole a lot of pictures for everybody Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Well it looks like some of the pictures are getting on their bear with me I'm going to try to send a few more here Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
I don't own a custom but I love them, this looks like the kind of show I need to add to my bucket list. HRP
The show was fantastic there was about 200 cars there will be more pictures showing up there was about six professional photographers there I don't know who they were with but I know there will be more pictures on the computer when they download them on whichever site they were with. Mark your calendars there will be a third year show here I believe it's June 15 we would love to have you all come. Thanks To Bob Davis and Kevin Anderson for a great customs only show Jimmy Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Wow! The show looked fantastic! Reminds me of the early days of the KKOA. Definitely going to have to make it to Indy for this one. Thanks for the updates and the pictures guys. E
C'mon Jimmy, quit being so nice...WE ARE a bunch of old farts...and some of us DO get on the computer...!!! BUT this show was much better THAN anything KKOA puts on these days...and OG lil E...Dan and I were there...it was like KUSTOM Heaven...!!! I IF everyone there had worn their blue jeans with cuffs and had a DA haircut, instead of the GRAY hair we have...it would have been just like a 1950's outdoor parking lot show... FULL pictures and "well-written" story to be on www.RodAuthority.com in about a week or so... R-
Some of us mid forty age guys can`t figure this computer thing out too. I took at least one pic of every car and truck at the event. Now I need to relearn how to post pics, but I`ll leave that to the experts. I was able to see a lot of friends I know and met a bunch more. 23 states were represented from as far away as California. I`m already preregistered for next year. As far as KKOA, I signed up for lifetime membership last year. Gotta keep the Custom movement growing! See ya all in Salina.
Do they not want spectators at this show? I live in Indy and didn't hear anything about it until yesterday. Would have loved to have seen the cars in person.
I found our about this show late and couldn't preregister. The show was a real eye opener, Beautiful cars and a chance to meet some St. Louis friends that I don't get to see often and others. It was nice to talk to you Jimmy and the pictures are appreciated. Many thanks to Kevin to allow me to enter late. deChrome
Sorry we couldn't be there :0(.... My plans changed at the end of the week and had to miss the show. We will plan ahead for next year. Maybe we can bring the Dick Fowler Coupe. It depends on what condition it is in at next year's show time. From the pics and the 'net chatter it looked like a great time. Thanks to Kevin and the other promoter(s) for putting on such a cool event.
Like someone has already said, if you're on Facebook check out this group that was created just for traditional styled customs - https://www.facebook.com/groups/traditionalcustoms/ There's been a BUNCH of pictures posted up from the Custom Car Revival.
Totally awesome show. Had a great time meeting lots of new people and people I had only known online and hanging out with old friends. Jimmy, loved getting to meet you and see the truck again. Can't wait to see it in paint. It's going to be awesome! Roger, you and Dan were a pleasure to meet. Fantastic cars! Hope your Canada trip goes smoothly….with no nails. I'll try to add some pictures different than what has already been posted around. How about some detail shots of Dave Jenkin's A-Bros '57. Amazing car. The upholstery is still the original t&r from '61 and most of the chrome under the hood is the original as well. Dave paid $50 for the chromed inner fender wells…polished on both sides.
I have pictures on my thread with tons more coming - the show was insanely cool. Please subscribe to this and you will see plenty, although somewhat slowly since I try to make each image special and that takes some time. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/...-the-way-cool-2014-custom-car-revival.929273/ Great pictures everyone!
I was there, awesome show. Nice meeting a few of the people off here. I couldnt find anything on here before going to the show or I would have met more of you. I searched and got nothing.
It was the Koolest show that I've been to in a while. Needless to say, Dr. Dave liked the '57. Kool pics guys....
LOL on the 2 inch long screw nail...first time I ever changed a tire at a car show...had plenty of help too...!!! Thanx to all for that...!!! That plug in the tire held til I got home late yesterday afternoon...this morn it was flat...!!! Now I get to go change it so I can go wash 1100 miles of bugs off the front...!!! Was great meeting you and sharing some yucks...keep working on that Merc, you'll get it to come around to the correct 'kustom' look. As usual, we did some sight-seeing on the way home (and missed the tornado in Nebraska by about 50 miles) but are looking forward to the Canada trip...sure you can't take some time off and come along...??? R-
Man, I wish I could Roger, that would be a fantastic trip for sure. Although….I'm not sure that riding along with you guys I would be able to stop laughing long enough to drive.
You have it all wrong….I LOVED the '57! In this crowd, so many beautiful cars, how could you pick a favorite. Mick and I talked several times about what our picks would be for participant's choice. At one point his top 5 included 15 cars. LOL I took pictures of other cars too besides Dave's. How about some detail on the Kopper Kart….
