I picked up these two trucks a few months ago hoping that I could get the engine from one to work in my '48. Spent some time and got the one engine running- and it runs GREAT. Unfortunately, the truck it was in had a bad clutch AND a bad rear end, so I pulled the motor hoping it would fit my '48. The engine would have dropped in but matching up the transmissions was going to be too big of a hassle for me. It would be fairly easy to get one of these running and driving or there's enough metal here for TWO ratrods. Trucks are located near Blackfoot, Idaho. So here's what I have for sale or trade: 1939 Dodge 1/2 ton (not sure but I think its actually a '40. Bill of sale says '39, if I get the title thats what it will say), cab in decent shape, no major rust, no good glass except for rear window, think I can get a "temp" title for it fairly easily- I may be willing to work with you on that depending on your offer. Basically NO interior. Missing one of the panels for the floor inside that goes over the transmission. Have a bed for it but no fenders. Had it running, radiator still held water, pulled the trans and motor. Included in sale. 1941 Dodge 1/2 ton. More complete body wise- bed has fenders, floor panels are in place inside cab, but it was rolled or something because the top of the cab and the passenger door had some serious dent pulling done in the past. Complete with motor, condition unknown. No oil on the dipstick. Interior basically gone. No title- was apparently registered sometime in Idaho, so I can apply for a "lost" title but don't plan on doing that right now. What I WANT in trade: Mainly interested in parts to put my '48 back together- Complete, verifiable RUNNING Flathead 6 (25"-er, 230 cid?), T-5 trans from an S-10, bellhousing that would mate the two, other odds and ends for the truck. Would also consider trading my trucks plus cash if needed for the right newer car- sedan or SUV, something my wife can drive to work. May also be interested in motorcycles- older the better and projects okay. Of course, CASH is always nice too. Asking $1,000 each, open to offers. I have tons of pics and even a video of the one running, but C.L. won't let me post them anymore... so if you want them email me and I can send you a link. 208-69O-l659 or email dorkpunch at yahoo dot com.
