I am going to be fixing a mistake that was made on my chopped '50 shoebox. 1/2" too much was taken from one side. I need a half inch section from the drivers side windshield and door posts. The doors haven't been chopped yet so that isn't a problem. what we are going to do is cut both side free again... then add in the extra half inch and put it back together with any needed relief. I know that is a bit shade tree but it actually looks good now. So I am not worried about it. I am willing to throw down some bones for the pieces if need be. Thanks.

You would have to see the chop in person to understand. The over all look will better with an added piece as opposed to taking 1/2 more. It is a generous chop.

Hey Grinder! How ya doing? Wolf.. I haven't talked to in months.... but I talked to his daughter today. He is doing really good. Never been better. But I have trouble getting touch with him as he lives a nomadic lifestyle now! hahahaha... in other words... he lives in a motor home. Sets up a tee pee in the summer! Has been gettting deep into his art lately. I should see him very soon. Anything ya want me to say to him?

Not quite that generous Tuck! I believe it was 5 inches but Hell.... I can't remember anymore. I just know what it looks like and what I want it to look like!

I have someone that offered up the pieces already. I will IM ya if that falls through tuck. I am rebuilding the flathead for it as well. I am going to put a Desoto Grill in it too.

Contact the "Shoebox Man" Ritchie Cockerline in Hudson, NH. He says he has the parts you need to fix this, and asked me to have you contact him. His email is rcockerlin@aol.com

  9. Yeah that old flathead smoked like a bitch. But it would run like a motherf--ker. Still remember the time me and wolf were side by side two 50 fords .Just winding the shit out of them old flatheads and three speeds and boy that bitch could rap the pipes.

Man Grinder... yer makin' me excited. I am really lookin' forward to getting it on da highway again. I was gonna have Tatom rebuild the flathead for me but decided to just do it myself with Dabond. It will be more cost effective that way. I can put that extra dough into other places on the car. I put it on a trailer a couple months ago and moved it. It sat so right and has a really intimidating look. I am gonna put the harley fin pipes back on it too.

  11. It sits right but my ride rough it have cut springs in it.You need to get you some jamco springs .I have 3 inch dropped springs in mine.Once they settle rides great and looks good .

  12. Yeah it looks mean with the hood off and the yellow accents. Wolf painted in the engine compartment. What do you think of that dash tits up.You need to put the hula girl back on it. Does it still have the blanket over the back seat area?Chop it till it hurts. As in if you don't bang your head on the roofs door jam .Its not chopped enough the evil look. Ah ha ha ha ha. It looked good paint in white like a ghost in the night going down the highway.

  14. Dumb question-Why not save yourself some greif and just make 3 sheetmetal strips hand formed for each side of post A short peice for the drip rail-and finish up with mig wire fill? you could be done with it in a half hour that way.....:D
