I own a 35 and have a chance to buy a 39 for cheap. I don't have time to go see it before he delivers it to me. Before I say bring it I would like to know how similar the roof is? I know the belt line is different but what about the rear window. I'm aware of the windshield changes but I would like to use the rear section of the roof and B pillar and rear window as well as the door frame uppers for the chop. They look very similar but I can't find any definite answers.

Truck cabs are nothing alike. I think 35 to 37 are similar but not above 38. We will see what the experts have to say. I am not one.

The 39 will have much more crown in the roof than the 35. Gambinos did a wicked chop on a 39 that is all do***ented on the hamb. From what I can tell, it was done to save the original crown in the roof.

Thanks for the response. I have it here now, in fact I'm headed out now to inspect it more. I may chop it first to learn a bit before I do mine. Maybe make a $ or 2 flipping it?
