I was playing around with one of these 1/87 bugs a while ago, not quite sure how I ended up in this configuration but I think I'm happy with it?

  8. My buddy has about a half dozen or so tractor-trailer kits from 60's-70's. Plus a box of misc. parts he wants to get off of. If anyone has any interest, p.m. me and I will get his number to you. Thanks, Gene.

Old Coyote, if it is a Rat Trap, why does it have a mouse engine?
    Nicely done.

Old Coyote, your models are awesome. That's some collection, you must have a great Man Cave for them.

    Fine builds, Coyote and lothiandon!

No new pix from me this week. Did manage to mend the Bonneville's cracked roof, however.

To contribute though, here are some vintage shots of a circa-1977 build of Revell's notoriously "unbuildable" '56 Chevy two door sedan kit. Built in trade to the owner of the real car for a group of about 25 old, rebuildable models, including a '58 Ford hardtop. Got it finished after destroying one body trying to fix a warp. Guys who remember this kit from the '60s no doubt remember the cool artwork of a green custom with the door open that tempted them to buy, then discovered the nightmare of trying to build it!

I made the job more difficult by consenting to build it as six cylinder, Powerglide car rather than the V-8 stick the kit came with. Also made the hood, trunk, and BelAir emblems from scratch. Please excuse that crazy antenna!

I have a couple in the works: '53 Chevy and '67 Camaro fastback. Saw one in resin but there's no way I'm paying $70 for it. Updates to come

    GaryC.

Here are a couple of my garage sale finds.
The blue "T" is probably an old Hawk kit. It was falling apart, but mostly there.
The "Silver Bullet" is a tin, wind-up replica of a 1930s LSR Sunbeam.
Not a kit, but you may find it as interesting as I did. Rusty, but it still works.
