Hi, I am Mike and I live in Denver. I grew up around old cars as my Dad bought, fixed up and sold cars. Eventually he put together a 55 Effie and I assumed it was destined to be mine, being 7 or 8 at the time my Dad didn't think I was serious and he sold it. I never let him live it down, so he began gathering parts. Frame, body parts, donor car for updated drivetrain (72 Lincoln, 460/C6). After a move we no longer had a big shop only a two car attached garage and my project lived in there for several years. We started building several years before i had a drivers license. Being a teenager I often times had short attention span for actually working on the project. In order to ensure my project didnt lose steam, I gave up the chance to get a newer daily driver, and bummed rides/borrowed Mom's car all through high school. Fast forward to my early twenties I finally had a street legal, drive-able Hot Rod. Looking back I have always liked old/vintage stuff and still do. The truck is still not "finished", and I find my attention span is slightly better than when i was a teen.
Thats a good looking truck, put some time into it and get her done. You'll really enjoy it when you do.--TV
