What's the age of HAMBERS that own pre 48 rides?

Now 66 with a '30 A Cab, had a 31 Chevy Touring when I was 17, a 28 A Sport cpe at 32, a 34 3 window at 47, a 27 T Sedan at 47, a 33 Chev 3 window at 50. All gone now except the Cabriolet i should have on the road in a month or so. All were street rods except the '31 Chev. My dad wanted it out of the yard, and the cops did not want me driving it anymore.

 

67 with 29 A sedan

 

I'm 61 and have had pre-48 cars since my 13th birthday. Still got the car that my Dad gave me when I was 13.

 

i'm 69 and have a 34 chevy

 

I'm 19 with a '27 ford roadster that I'm trying to get running for the Round Up

I am 53 with my first pre 48

 

I'm 63 heading for 64 and I have my grandfather's 40 Ford coup and working on a 55 Oldsmobile Super 88 sedan.

 

29 with a 29 madel a rpu, and 29 Chrysler, plus a few post 48

 

67 and I've got a 1929 roadster and a 1929 coupe. Only two cars I own.

 

I'm 33 gonna be 34 in May I have a 41 Ford Tudor

Just turned 40 and have a 29 Model A Roadster almost on the road. I'm ashamed to say I've had the body in storage for about 18 years before starting my build. College, and family has been priority but finally now close to getting it on the road.

I will be 67 this year and have a 33 Chevy pickup project and a 36 Chevy Standard 2-dr Coach (no trunk). I get up every morning hoping to get one of these finished.
Thought about calling the 36 Last Ride !!!
First one was a 39 Chevy 2-dr at age 18................... Jeff

 

I'm 60 in 2 weeks, and have had this 1940 Dodge since 1971.......my wife hopes I'll grow out of it......been playing with cars longer than I've been playing with girls......no choice really.........lol.........andyd

 

Well I'M 75 and still playing with rides. I am almost done with a 41 ford coupe.

I'm 41. I currently own a 41 Chevy Special Deluxe with 283 V8 and 4spd. Before That I had a 47 Ford Tudor with a 49 Merc flathead V8 with 3spd on column.

 

41... have a '31 ford coupe.
well, a pile of parts resembling one, anyway

i've had a handful of pre '48... some even mostly stock, too.

 

61 and currently have a 36 Ford five window,

 

51 and a 1930 Model A

 

65 and have a 39 Ford coupe driver and a 28 A sport coupe that runs and brakes etc, but not quite ready to licence.

 

nothing shameful about putting family and college before cars!

 

Im 27 and have a 28' Model A sedan and a 48' Chevy P/U. Working on a 28' Model A coupe.

 

Age 71. Have owned my avatar 40 for 51 years.

 

Currently 39 years old with a 39 ford.

My question is-- why did 48 become "the" year? Seems like 54/55 would've been a bigger change time period.

I am 43 with 1940 Ford Truck and 1937 ford Truck Roadster that I'm currently building.

 

39 with 1930 Model A (interested in hot rod's at 16 years old and still)

 

I am 67, drive a '32 FORD Highboy roadster and a '40 FORD 2-dr. Had the bug since forever. Still love the disease, the camaraderie and all the offerings.

 

56 in a 1928 Ford Tudor

 

69, nearbout 70. My driver is 48 DeSoto, 1st generation 392 Hemi.
