History Need help IDing some wheels!

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by chiefnobillet, Jun 22, 2014.

  1. So just a few days ago my dad gave me a set of 4 wheels that he has had since before he built his IHC. He had them on a 65 Fury and then out them on the IHC and didn't take them off until he got Cragars, which he has had on it ever since. Anyways, he said I could have these wheels to use on my 54, because he will never use them. I now own what I believe to be an original set of Foresight Ventures Drag Mags, they are 14x7 and have the valve stem in between spokes (apparently the originals did), but they aren't stamped ' DRAG MAG' by the mounting hole (which is apparently another thing to look for on real Foresights). Anyways, I've searched around on here and found out some basic information, but NONE of the other wheels I've seen, even on Google images, have the ridges on the spokes that these ones have. Any information would be a HUGE help so thank you in advance!

With the Foresight name cast in the wheels, I hardly think they can be referred to as "not real Foresights". Is it possible the 'Drag Mag' name was only applied to certain sizes,,,,,,or was a name used for a period of time, but not for the entire production run of this style?

  3. They have the correct maker for a drag mag,,may have been a set from a early set production. HRP

There were a couple different versions of this style wheel by a couple different companies.

  5. But I thought wouldn't they have a different name?

  6. Any idea why only these have the raised ridges on the spokes? Has anyone seen anything like this?
