I've noticed a few newbies join in the area, and have ben wondering about a few I haven't heard from in a while. So who is in the Atlanta area, how far are you from atlanta, and what are you building. If you ride bike's you can mention that too.

Me I live in Roswell, which is a few miles north. I'm building a custom '50 chevy. I also have a '75 Harley FLH. I am also collecting parts for a modified.

    Yee Haw,
I'm here. There's no "casting couch" is there? ATL proper in the L5P (Little 5 Points area). Growed up west of PBRme. Moved from Minneapolis. Sold the 54 Chev two weeks ago. 31 Coupe, just got it running/driving. Trying to get new pics. I likes to lurk.

    Delurking:

My name's Chris and I live in East Atlanta with the crackheads and pimps. I've been a member of the HAMB for a few years now and at one time was a semi-regular here....back when the membership was quite a bit thinner. Various forces in my life conspired against me and my interest in cars waned for a time....actually it wasn't so much my interest in cars, but my interest in working on them, for awhile, my tools might as well have been made of kryptonite....... I have a 52 Vicky (289/c4) which I drove daily until the transmission gave out....shes been sitting too long (if anyone has a line on a good c4 semi-cheap pm me).

I recently sold a 30/31 coupe project to a local guy, partially because it too had been sitting unattended for too long, but mostly because I needed to free up some money for a new project. Back in the late 70's, my family was active in the New England street rodding scene and my father was building a 33 Fordor (family hot rod...lol). Then his career started to take off, we moved to North Carolina and the car was "put on the back burner"...for 25 years. He's about to retire and told me over Thanksgiving that he really has no aspirations to finish it, and gave it too me. I'm stoked! It was really the first car I ever worked on and even though its not my first choice for a hot rod project (Four Door resto-rod) ) it carries good memories for me being a kid and working with my dad.

It really doesn't need much to be roadworthy, the ch***is was finished (Corvette rear, Superbell/4bar, SBC/TH350), the body was straightened and painted and then it went into its 25 year garage-kept slumber. He has everything needed to finish it, right down to window gl***....

Once I figure out a way to get it down here from New Hampshire it will go to a fellow car club pal's garage (I'm a member of the Atlanta Road Kings) where I'll go back through the mechanicals, probably re-shoot it (its 1970's silver metallic), wire and upholster it. I'll be ditching a few things along the way, the ugly *** Ralleye wheels will be covered with early Olds hubcaps (NOT Fiesta) , the GM tilt column/wheel will be replaced with a 40 Ford unit. The TH350 may be getting replaced with a 4-speed. I hope to be driving by early summer.....

Anyway...thats my story...I'm still here, lurking as always. Oh, and I may know some of you local guys...I know I've spoken with Brad before (a couple years back) and I may have met some of ya'll at either Dixie Fried or perhaps Joe Smith Automotive.....

Here's a pic of my Vicky:

Well - I'll chime in from Buford. I have a 31 Tudor A about to hit the streets and a 46 Ford. Good post Dave

We may need to have a Fuzzy's Gathering sometime soon. Last time, the parking lot burn outs really seemed to freak out the car wash folks accross the street.

Looking forward to meeting all of the Atlanta folks this spring at the various events.

    who the hell is Steve?

What about an intor for those not familiar with your douchebaggery. I could write it for you but know what's to hear about you and your Brittany Spears dolls and such.

for those interested - I'd like to remove the body from my sedan this weekend for two reasons - check out how the 32 body I have fits - and to paint my frame.

anyone interested in helping - let me know!!!!! I have some stands that can support the body whilst we roll out the ch***is - but it will need to be moved with personel after that.
