I'm not a car guy. they appear to be Model-A. not sure anything about them. I want to sell them, I'm unsure of what they go for, and exactly what type of car they came from. I'm just guessing. any help would be appreciated.

Yep. '28-'29. Not only are there millions of them out there, but nobody wants 'em either. Sorry to break the bad news. Since you're not a "car guy" I hope you didn't pay much for 'em...

Same stuff here. Bought a bunch of Model A bodies and parts one time. The lady could not believe I did not want the wheels. She thought they were worth a lot but I left them even though I bought the complete inventory.

The problem many 28-29 wheels have is rust in that rolled outer rim, some even rust out making them useless. Bob

I traded for some of the same wheels. I hauled them to swap meets for 2 years. I sell many old collectables to a Cracker Barrel buyer. He would not take them for free ..I finally traded 4 of them to a local eatery for a cheap lunch one day. He wanted them for displays. I almost sold them for s**** metal. Oh yes if you are NOT a car guy what the hell are you doing here??????????

Hey Roy.......if you're "not a car guy"......and you just "found" these old wheels in a storage unit....but you "invested $30 in them"......and you have no idea what they are........then take your speculating **** someplace else and advertise/sell your rusty s**** iron **** to craigslist or someplace else and stay the **** off of this site. Thank you.

  12. Easy on old mate, don't get your knickers in a knot!!. By stating he's not a car guy may mean he's into them but doesn't know his ****?? The guys just asking a simple question..

Easy there. Roy could just have easily been inquiring about some rare speed parts he found. I personally encourage all non-car guys to let me know when they find something interesting. It sounds like he brought those wheels to us because because he knows we would be the subject matter experts on those...and he's right.

Yeahp your best finds are usually provided by someone who has no clue what they have.

    Seriously?

You joined in 2007, and have posted 80 times before this one, and now you are some righteous, board defending authority?

Take a deep breath, and get over yourself. This was a legitimate question.

Asking questions is how you learn. Sometimes you can't take the chance that you miss a deal, while you are busy asking the questions first.

Put some "CO" in the community, before you start taking your stand.

"The problem many 28-29 wheels have is rust in that rolled outer rim, some even rust out making them useless. Bob"
IF any of them have sound rim beads and pitting light enough that they could reasonably take paint, they have considerable value. They need to be reasonably round and turning in same plane as hub, too, of course. '28-9 restorers have a hard time finding wheels sound enough to use.
Bad rust in those rims or serious pitting of course make them as useless to restorers as to the rest of the human race.
