Damnit,I love happy endings.It's the main reason that I'm kind of weird about who I sell to,I just can't stand to see someone schlock up a great car.I can't wait to see the restoration photos.

 

Awesome! Those kinds of "homecomings" don't happen very often.

 

It is so cool that it has come full circle, after 55 years, back to the original builder who's going to restore it to the beauty of that build. Too many times a hot rod has been sold only to be lost to the ages. Not one of us has never said, "Damn, I wish I had that car back."

 

That's ******** cool.
Days don't get much better than that.

I fell in love with that car the moment I put my quarter on the counter to buy the Rodding & Restyling magazine it appeared in and was on the cover of. Perfect proportions for a fendered channeled deuce, I'd say. Glad it's going to be brought back to its former condition.

Tough to have to build it twice but great to have the opportunity.

 

The car has a one of a kind profile! Great story.

 

You should (gently) push him to have this thing ready by at least the next Round-Up.

But if he makes the Revolution, I won't complain..

 

It's pretty amazing to hang out with this guy and hear him talk about it. He came to my house last year and picked up a caddy motor for a "project", I slowly realized what was going on and it blew my mind. He has the coolest pictures.
