I have a chance to pick up a pair of fenders. Always thought coupe and truck were different. Are they? What would a decent pair be worth?
Front fenders are for sure the same, I believe rears are too, I know with model A truck and coupe rears are the same so should be with 32. Then sedan, Vicky, 4 door rear fenders would be different. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
If the fenders have wells the well is bigger for the truck. No wells and they are the same. For the rears I would check a Wecsott's catalog, wescottsauto.com. The '33-'34 truck fronts look the same but do not interchange. You can tell the '33-'34 by a raised area on the fender near where the fender bracket meets the frame. Charlie Stephens
Fronts are the same but rears are completely different. Technically 32 truck rear fenders are different from 33-34 truck rear fenders. Real steel rear truck fenders are very pricey. Coupe and roadster fenders are pricey enough but P/Us got no love in the 40s so finding a descent set is highly unlikely. I was lucky and my 34 P/U came with excellent steel fenders.
The the profile of car rear fenders is the Same as PU . But you need to cut off the car body horizontal mount flange and weld a 90degree return down to bolt to the vertical pickup bed and add a small wing to go under the front of bed to meet ch***is.
