    not sure this pic is at Indy 'cause of the boards, not bricks, but the car apparently ran at Indy in '22

    Another one not shown at Indy, but this car ran there. The driver is Tommy Milton who won Indy twice.

    I love these 'in-motion' pics from early last century. They have a cartoony quality to them, giving an additional impression of speed.

    .............. ok, this is Ray Haroun, winner of the first 1911 Indy 500, at what is highway speeds today. (Not 1922, as I was trying to keep it to).

    Hey, it's great to be the King! Seriously, I can understand fording a shallow river or obstacle like this, but the road the locals are using looks perfectly fine for an auto. I wonder what the heck is going on? Gary
