Projects Anyone want rent me their deep throat shrinker?

Looks like the metalmaster one sold here in australia I got mine at a sale for $400 but one of the V blocks has broken already? and i'm waiting for a replacement. Looks like Baileigh put on a lot of mark up? The modified lancaster might be a better option? Deep shrinking doesn't get very good results on these types of machines.

Well I'm not sure what to make of that, but that's the fact.

Swallow or cough,,?,, its a deep throat and I've seen it happen before.

Maybe I don't need one based on some excellent help and photos posted into another threads I've got up.

 

So, I figured I'd break down and just order one from Balliegh because I can't be screwing around here on this for another month. Talked to Shane and he said they are back ordered till the end of August. Another month anyway ugghhhh . Sells them like hot cakes.
Actually he's got 50 on the way and 45 are sold already. Really? Everyone has one I guess.

If I had one I'd let you guys use it.

 

Seems hard to believe but now that I have my own I could see why.

This the one I have. It weighs a chit ton (70 lbs) and I couldn't fathom the shipping. If you were close I would let you come over and use it but I don't lend tools to anybody. I am sure there are plenty others like that here so that might have been part of the problem. Anyways, I'm glad to see you got one for yourself.

Yep, moves metal well, but sure wish it opened further to allow the curved metal to move thru the narrow gap and not catch on the teeth.

But -
First I had to fix it.
Then I had to chase it all over the shop as It moves across the floor with every stroke.
Then I started thinking about making it just a bit taller than my balls. Its really way too short I think.

Then at least as stiff as my c---
well Any way the base is flimsy.

Out of the box its not very user friendly but it could be easily remedied into a good machine I think.
