Hot Rods 1963 F100 "Wrongbed"

    Recently got a 63 F100 and noticed the bed was the wrong year for the truck. Just recently found that ford produced some trucks with the wrong beds on them so I was wondering if these trucks at fairly rare or not?
     
  2. They weren't 'wrong', this came out of the 61-62 'unibody' fiasco. After Ford discovered that excessive body flex on the unibody trucks caused problems (like doors that wouldn't open) and discontinued the body design, they used the '60 style beds until they tooled up a matching design. Somewhat rare (it didn't do much for sales), but not particularly desired...
