im building a hot rod, and have a original Chevrolet steering wheel like this one on ebay but I need the shaft that goes to this wheel if you have one call me at 516 233 7788 or email me mwarsh1@gmail.com http://www.ebay.com/itm/1950-1951-1...Parts_Accessories&hash=item2ed32cd49f&vxp=mtr will only a chevy splined shaft work >?
Link didn't work. Most times if you want to use the Chevy wheel it will fit chevy from about 54 to 60 that's jus my opinion from what I've worked on. I've put a 58 on a 83 van tilt with out an issue.
Chevy steering wheels from about 1936 through the early 1990s all use small GM shaft. Same size, same splines. Most GM cars use them except certain big cars prior to the key on column era. The rest all depends on how old a wheel, how the back of it is shaped.
