    Hello,
Recently I bought a 32 3w that was built into a hot rod in the early 60's. It's channeled and rear fenders were welded to the quarter panels. The quarters were cut out to raise the wheels. I'd like to remove the fenders and fix the quarter panels. I need a repair section a 1/4" below the top bead line down including the wheel well. I think about half of the rear corners are still there. Does anybody know where I can locate such panels or anyone that can make them for me? It ****s that brookeville only offers the the whole side of the body at $3500 each.

You will either have to make them yourself or have a panel beater fab them for you. A bead roller and shrinker stretcher are probably the basic tools necessary. Could be a good project to learn how it's done. Good luck with your project, definitely worth saving.

I've seen so many guys on here piece bodies together that I would watch the cl***ifies, run a want ad for pieces. You may be able to use parts of a 5 window quarter to get the bead and the "flat" stuff can be hand made. It depends on how involved you want to get. Don't be afraid to try. I had to hand build the windshield opening on the car in my avatar as well as lenthen the doors 10" and replace the top 6" of the doors. IT CAN BE DONE!!!!!!! Have fun....Tim

  5. I made wheel houses foe s 33 Plymouth from the middle of the bead downward. It wasn't very difficult and was made with basic fab tools. shrinker/stretcher, basic cutting tools. The key was making a good pattern of the opening and the profile and a good pattern for the bead.

I made most of the wheel wells for my 3w (it was channeled 12" in it's distant past). I can tell you they weren't fun. In stock form they take some interesting shapes and forms. How about you pull a wheel and show us how bad that area is? How close to stock do you want the wheel well area to be?

I'll pull one off tonight and get some pics. I'd like the wheel wells to look close to original ones. I'm leaving the car channeled so I'm not real concerned about the lower portion looking original. I do have access to a pullmax, shrinker/stretcher, English wheel, etc, but I've never used them. I'd be willing to try to make them.

Try Andy Glause in St. Libory NE. I just saw some 1/4s he did to repair a 3 window body.

    Mark,
I have his phone number at my shop and will get it for you. He does not have a web site as he is a very old school guy.
You might try and google him and see what you come up with.

I whole heartily agree that Andy is a most talented fabricator, however spoke with 2 weeks ago regarding a pair of quarters from the waist line down for my 32 5w & he will make whatever is needed but only as an on site installation at his shop.
