After taking some time to finish a 55 chevy and have shoulder surgery the roadster is back in the garage. Jalopy 43 built me a frame a long time ago and all i need to do is drop off the rest of the rear suspension and spend a few days out there and we wll have a roller. Then its back to my house to make it pretty and finish all the little things. Its will be running a 4 cylinder out of a chevy and an s-10 rear and 37 ford front end. I will put disks on the front unless i can find some original drums for the front. the body is pieced together from a 28 ford cowl , 55 chevy pu door skins and 55 chevy tailgate. It looks like crap now cause its been sitting outside for close to a year but soon will be finished, sandblasted and made straight and pretty. it will have either bomber seats or a secret set of seats i have yet to find. Its not gonna be anything fancy just a little jalopy to run around in and have some fun in.

Looks like a cool project. The S-10 four-cylinder is a kind of a unique way to go -- and that ain't bad.

    Good luck!

I used what i had laying around. Its better then just flat metal. Plus it will keep people talking at the shows wether its a ford or chevy.

Off to a great start...can't wait to see more!!!!

  13. Actually I was going to say the same thing.

real jalopies are built from what is available.

The LUV mill is a cammer, or a pushrod motor? they came both ways made by Isuzu, good motors either one.

A Banger is a good way to go in a modified, not done often enough by my way of thinkin'.

    keep us posted.

Me and Jalopy43 made some good progress on the roadster today. We basically got the frame into roller condition. we just got to weld up some stuff and put in the rear wishbones and then we can set the motor in. Then i can take it and start finishing up all the little things and make it pretty.
