    ok, took about a month but I finally got some pictures. I'll post one here and you can check out the link if you want to.

    Picture that I think I attached is from right after it got dropped in the driveway, still had to clean it out.

    Nice truck - sure is solid, must not be from Fla. What is the front suspension from?

    Missed your intro - so welcome from someone up the road about an hour.

    Looks good. For those years (late '40s to early '50s) I like the Chevies over the Fords.
    Are the wheels factory original? [​IMG]

    Thanks for the response. Dixie, The truck came from South Dakota, but was originally owned by the air force (got a little plaque on the dash to prove it). I'm hoping they will help me out with the history of the truck, like what base it was at. The front suspension is a heidts must. II unit with stock arms.

    She's got nice patina, that's for sure. Don't you dare paint it.

    Have you thought about polishing the outer rim lips and throwing some wide whites & chrome bumpers on her?

    W/ that Air Force lineage maybe you could even get pinups airbrushed on the doors [​IMG]

    Hiya

    Like your truck mines a 51 GMC was in about same nick as yours. Was shipped in from Kansas. so got to look after it now it's in sunny (i mean rainy [​IMG]) England. [​IMG]

    Keep us updated with pics as you go along.

    I'm in the process of doing mine.
