So ive been looking for a while for a hot rod for the family... Ive been stumbling and tinkering on alot of different ideas, and finally landed on something...

    1955 Chevy 2 door wagon

This one my buddy saved from the crusher and I did some trading with him... and now I have to drag it home.... BUT it does have a ***le, which surprised the hell out of me...

Shes rough but me and the boys will have a blast...

Off to drag her home and start taking it apart...

    So what you guys think?

Nice find! Are you lucky enough that the front seat frame is still in it?

He also has a 2 door post, they both came from the same place (pm me if your interested in it)... It does have the front seat frame... But no gauges, or anything on the dash... so off to find parts... Maybe, has tons of parts just thrown in it, so its like an easter egg hunt...
HRP... Im not exactly sure what kind of wagon it is, I havent looked in to it that far yet

I have NOT FOR SALE written all over it... so maybe ill actually be able to finish this one... People keep buying my projects... or ill just tell everyone its a customers car... lol

give it a CLR bath and see what it looks like afterwards. looks like it could be pretty cool patina. focus on getting it running/driving, lowered, etc and enjoy it like that for a bit. then can tear it down for full on job when you get tired of that look. my plan with my 62 uniboy is to paint the inside and shoot the rear epoxy and thow it together and shake down run it for a while while doing the body work.

Awesome and the headlight hoods without being rusted through. Usually in northeast cars they are the first thing to go.

What are your plans for it? Big block, 4-speed and radiused rear wheel openings?

It's definitely a Handyman wagon (2dr wagon without the slanted B-pillar, which the Nomad has). It's either a 150 or 210 Handyman. The first few positions of the VIN (driver side door post) will tell you...
    A55: 6cyl 1955 150
    VA55: 8cyl 1955 150
    B
    55: 6cyl 1955 210
    VB55: 8cyl 1955 210

I think I see the trim holes for the side window stainless, so my guess is it is a 210 Handyman that someone may have harvested the side window stainless trim from it - unless it's inside the car. The 150 Handyman came with no side window stainless, the 210 Handyman did.

Neat score, looking forward to your progress... have fun!
