Radir 10.00-15 Cheater slicks,... Update.. tires will not be shipped today

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by RadirWheelsGuy, Oct 18, 2005.

  1. We need 15 and 16 inch Cheaters that are in the 7-9" wide range and are 30-31 inches tall for hiboys.

The 235 based tires are a little short at around 28"

With the resurgance of nostalgia drag racing the 12.00-16 seems like a logical choice. Them dragsters go through them alot faster than most street cars do!!

Besides for us tightwads - finding 16" rims used to be easy since the tires were so slim.

I think the 8.20-15 are really nice and I will probably want a set of those on my pickup. But 1.5-2 inch less on the section width to loose some of the bulge on the sides and maybe 0.5-1 on the tread width and about 1 inch taller would make them PERFECT.

I'm really only after the look so I don't care about the compund, but as I would use them on the street good driveability is a must. Some sort of tread would be good to.

My 2 cents. Keep up the good work.

PS. I really like the look of th checkerd flag tires. I like the skinny look but they are about 3 inches too low.

My 235/75/15's are 28.3" tall. I wouldn't be against taller, or a little wider, as long as I can use 'em at the track.

a really tall 14" would be nice, considering the huge amount of "vintage" 14" wheels around...

  7. The 8.20 has great height but like others said about 1 inch narrower tread and a stright up sidewall, so that it maks a good "square" tire. The flags dont make two ****s to me, they overall look is way to boss to bich about something you can see when im blowin' smoke off of em at a 6600 427 ! ! !
I like the compund, a kid here at work has the 7.75 they just look funny on my car, i should have mounted it on a reverse wire, it was so short. Thanks for giving us a chance to speak our opinion, thats a proffesi****l way to handle critcizm ! ! ! Also many thanks for building any of them in the first place, and when my time comes (2-3 months) I will buy some (8.20) and kinda mini tub my car even though i dont like that bulging side wall, "fat tire" look, but at least it will look cool from the side.

I would like to see some skinny front runners to match the back tires.wide whites just not as wide as the rear white walls.that would fit a 3 1/2 to 5" wide rim in a 15".what kind of shipping price's do you guys have?any shipping discounts on the 7.75 for HAMBER's.if so I may make an order with you. if not I will hold out til the bigger tires come in and i see what the rest of the HAMBER's say about 'em.alot of you guys are tossing out size's that they may sell a few of.but they want to make some money do you blame them.the 7.75 my not be for everyone but i think it's a good start for the majority.let them biuld up .as time goes on the more profit they make the better deals they can toss our way

and not only in white wall width but, compound too.

the Radirs have the whitest white wall out there, and they stay white

all the others, especialy Cokers turn a deffinate yellow very quickly

I'm not blaming them at all. I commend them for making any of 'em. And especially for asking our opinion on different sizes. That's all I was doing, giving my opinion on what myself, and others, have asked about. So when they do have the capitol to ad more choices, they know what their customers may want.

7.75 - 16 blackwalls would rule all. I'd put a set on my roadster now and run them on a HA/GR next year - and I wouldn't care if it was within the set rules. :)

    Jason,
I have a set of your wheels (tri-ribs) on my '39 with a BFG 235 70 15 on a 8" rim and I hate the look of those tires. Screws up the whole g***er look, but they hold it up off the ground for now. How do the 7.75 "checker flag cheaters" compare in size? I am at work at the moment so I can't measure what the BFG's are. I would love a set of them with the HAMB discount. Don't need a shipping price, I can have a buddy near you grab them. Thanks for listening. You guys have been kick *** to deal with. You listen....not many company's do anymore.

Looks great!!!, looks like this is becoming alot more versatile tire then we had expected its really nice starting to see them on cars. and they also look like they fit great, somthing we wanted from the get-go, a tire that would fit many stock cars without any modifications.

    Have a good one!,
