Where body mounts to frame ; I want to replace those rusted mounts.

    * Who sells such replacement mounts vs fabricating them?
    * EMS told me; none made yet for 52-54 fords ?
    * Another person told me to somehow use certain 55 Ford body mounts and make them work ????

I wasn't able to find any for my '53. I just had to rip them out and patch them.

I had the same rust issues and I just fabbed it all, it's fairly easy box sections, nothing that really demands a pre-made patch panel.

It is not easy finding parts for these little misfits. I think they are great looking cars when customized and that their increasing popularity may result in some more parts being produced. For now you will probably have to do it the hard way. I bought some 49-51 mounts from EMS in the 90s and they were hand made from sheet stock back then. You could make something similar quite easily.

I think I have an old catalogue out in the shop that has repair pieces but not the whole mount, I am going to look now. Got it Surplus supply Co. ph. 330-825-3900 they call them floor braces. They have an online catalogue surplussuply.com

EMS doesn't offer them for the 52-54 Fords. HRP

I just did this project on a 51 Chevrolet. the owner bought the new parts from EMS, those parts are pretty expensive, but in the long run it was probably cheaper for the guy who owns the car to buy the parts and have me install those than to repair or fabricate them from scratch. if it were my own car I would have repaired what was there since my time is free, and parts are not.

I've done things like this on other cars by removing the damaged part, sandblsting it to bare metal and repairing it off the car, then welding it back in.
