I think one is with breather holes and the other is without. The website has a smallblock Chevy when you click on either part number. thanks in advance, Tim
I think you need to post your question---it's pretty hard to figure out what you want from what's there.
thanks for the tip 40fordtudor, I try to keep my post a short a possible so my question is in the ***le. So here is another try. There are numerous part numbers for Edelbrock SBF Cl***ic Series valve covers. The part number difference for finish is straight fwd. My question is: I think for the polished version 4130 and 4160 there is one set with a breather and one for without. There is a year range in the description but it is not clear on with or without breather. As a declaimer I realize they all need breathers. "Without" being you drill a hole and bolt on your own.
I would think that all small block Fords need the breather in one valve cover, except the 1962 221 had a road draft tube.
65Standard I agree but that is not how Edelbrock have it. http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive/mc/accessories/vc-cl***ic.shtml
My 64 Mercury Comet 260ci V8 came from the factory with a road draft tube. I removed it after swapping to finned aluminum valve covers which came with a breather cap in one of the covers ... if that helps any. I believe they were Cal Custom, but I no longer have the car. --- Steve ---
Must be some error on the website. You will have to call them to make sure you order the correct ones.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Edelbrock-4...Parts_Accessories&hash=item2c877d5730&vxp=mtr same thing when I searched summit racing to help you along http://www.summitracing.com/parts/edl-4130
I spoke with Edelbrock this afternoon. 4160 is the part number for Ford and 4130 is for Pontiac. They have a mistake on their website. Another bit of info the cl***ic series with the breather holes are no longer available for SBF.
