Three lifetimes worth of work lined up and not enough help ! I'm a very busy restoration, Custom and Hot Rod shop in Lincoln, Neb. just down the street from America's Oldest Hot Rod Shop "Speedway Motors" and Speedy Bill sends me plenty of work as well as all our other customers. It has become so difficult to find seasoned craftsmen that want or know how to work in this trade and even harder yet to find fresh talent. So that is why I have to train my own, I mainly take in young gearheads / Hoodlums that have a strong desire to learn and willingness to work on Old cl***ics, Hot Rods, customs and restorations. I'll train them to become skilled talented craftsmen beyond their wildest imaginations because there is so much work to do and no one in their way we move pretty rapid, I need them to perform like seasoned craftsmen with confidence as quickly as possible. Here you see Curtis a youngster from SD that is becoming a very talented metal fabricator, and one of the projects he is restoring a 61 comet (we are doing for a sweet Old School teacher, she has been driving it daily for nearly 40 years!) and a recent newbie, Cody a 18 year old part timer getting his feet wet while attending welding school. If you know of such a person that has a strong desire and can't get enough old cars and wants to have a career in becoming a seasoned craftsmen with confidence and skills beyond their years! let them know about the opportunity I have for them. Lincoln, Neb. is a pretty decent place to spend some time and a lot of cl***ic car activities throughout the year. We are currently working on a new exciting web site for our shop Auto Kraft body and paint Inc. but they can see us at my new rotisserie website as well www.rollerhoop.com Thank you!
Well Doug...I'm not that young anymore (34), but I would love to do exactly what you're offering. Too bad relocating my entire family to Lincoln, Neb. isn't going to happen. Good luck to you in your search and hopefully some of the younger guys here will take you up on your offer.
