Looking for some help I have a car show in a week... And my water pump is leaking out of the weep hole at the bottom of the shaft.. Is there away to rebuild it? Or a place to get a new one? Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
I had CARS inc. 908 369 3666 In new jersey rebuild mine for my 41 buick , they do have some models for sale also yours becomes a core . I would also contact your local parts stores - I was shocked to find my local advance auto could get a water pump for my 41 buick from there warehouse to order in . Good luck Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Try the Hudson dealer in Ypsilanti Mi. They are the last Hudson dealer, and are still in business, as a museum, and parts supplier.
They can be rebuilt. The shaft and bearings are a standard water-pump size, just needing the extra length trimmed. You can use a standard mechanical seal, #200. The inner seal face of the pump will probably need to be polished to remove any pitting. The hard part is pressing the old shaft out without breaking the housing. Need to make a support rig to hold the housing level. Done it few times, worst part was holding the housing in the press. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!

Contact Lance Walker (Hudzilla). I'm pretty sure he has a few rebuilt units lying around. hornetllw@yahoo.com
