rustynewyorker, Sad but True !!! The St. Peter comment is Funny though. The Guy should have been straight and said "The Devil Made Me Do It" Honesty and Class seems to elude some people.

The car on the left is certainly an Imperial. Notice the fins and the "tire" on the deck lid; '53-4 Fords had neither of those features.

That's a '60 Imperial, and would not have the 392... but would have a 413.

If you have bought cars from him in the past you should have some idea of how he is pricewise. If the thing has been under brush for all those years he can't be too interested in it. I bet $500 will get it loaded on your trailer.

My parents bought a new '53 Ford during the year I was 16 years old, and I bought one in '59, so I know them when I see them, and that's no Ford. It is a Chrysler Impreial for certain, but I'm uncertain on the year.
The other car is a '35 or '36 Ford, unsure which, but it's a Ford, as you can see the torque tube drive hookup behind the trans.

The car on the left is a '60 Imperial (one-year-only tail lights) and the one on the right is a '55 DeSoto.

  10. Yes....the car on the left IS an Imperial.

How many times do we need to identify that car?

I'd better do it one more time just to be safe: car on left is definitely a Nash Metropolitan.
