It will be a joy for all of us to watch yet another masterpiece go together, Tim. Love the color. I see it already has parallel leafs in the rear and tube shocks. Was it a stalled project for someone or did you already bring it to this point?...Don.

You ain't nuts----what a great disease. PS I never could find another coupe. First car a '40 coupe and four 2drs and 4drs since and no coupe. Damn. 1/13/15 Henry did 'em nice but you seem to make 'em better.

Looks like another real gem. Is this a slightly darker shade of your "authentic" C.M.G.?
    Gotta be my favorite green!

(And what about the coupe in the background?)

got it from my friend/painter--in the stage shown-will take it from there-should take about 2-3 months. Color is right in the sun-had to take wife to see if the color looked correct-she said yes so here we go again. He did the 36 3 window for a guy and has a 35 3 window in the works too. Gotta get a small journal 327 done for this one. Though the last std was the last one but------wife said I need something to do. Also have to wire, etc another 40 coupe for a friend--plenty to keep an old guy occupied for a while.

Also just missed another very nice 40 dlx coupe project down near Fresno-Oh well.

Tim, I will be following this one. The CMG is my favorite on a 40 coupe. I didn't know Bob had another one under way.

.......If I'm not mistaken, Tim has indicated that the wife pitches right in and helps out on the cars, especially when it comes time to align all of that troublesome '40 front sheetmetal.:)

Are you CA guys talking about Bob Bauder ? If so, is he still doing his thing up in Crestline, I believe ? A friend of his, Kris Castillo, lives down the street from me here in San Antonio and builds cars for the locals.

No, Bob Clouse is a 40 Ford builder in Northern CA. Bauder is still doing his great work in the mountains above LA. He has a wonderful shop and home up there.

remember your coupe when Bob was doing it--nice little 40. My old cloud mist grey 40 convert is in your state too but I haven't seen it since 05.
The coupe I have now (in my avatar) is the 4th one I did-this one is the 13th 40-can't seem to let it go.

Good to see another one coming along w/ C.M. Grey, Tim. I'm seriously thinking of painting my '36 the same color; still have your formula - and thanks again!

Looks great Tim. I just about got the 40 Sedan done. Ran the a/c lines today. Plan on working on the trunk lid of my 40 coupe tomorrow. Hope to have it wired and running next month.

well it's been at uph shop for a week or so--coming along-should be back in 3 weeks-then a little tweaking here and there (inst hood and front bumper and align FE). Ran strong on the way to the uph shop--no issues other than this 327 is a little lumpy(9 3/4 to 1 and a snotty little Crane cam)-sounds really good thus far.
