I have not mucked with Ford motors for 30 years, I don't thing it will line up that well.
Are you looking at using a 302 or 351 Windsor as even these two are different. Maybe some OHV Ford guys can give you the right info to get you going.
    Oh and welcome. JW:)

The Cleveland and Windsor have different bell housing bolt patterns. Hope this helps.

No the Cleveland and the Windsor have the same bell housing. Its the modified that has the big block bell. I personally think the Windsor is a better motor. It fits a little better and has better aftermarket support because it was built for around 25 years on the other hand the Cleveland was only built for 4 years.

OP is in Australia and we had them up to the mid 80's (Clevelands), including F trucks.

Yip and Australia had a 302 Clevo as well which was never available in the States, think the Cleveland came out in the XW falcon in 1970 and finished in the XF in about 1986?

Started with XY Falcon and ZD Fairlaine and F trucks. Lots of tow trucks.

The C is to Oz what the SBC is to the US.
