Hey guys newbie here. just after some advise my 351cleveland had big end failure in my F100. it was really tired anyway so its a good excuse for an upgrade. ive been looking at crate engines i am wondering if engine mounts, power steering, alt. pulley brackets, exhaust bolt up to a windsor, have not had much to do with them. cheers olly
I have not mucked with Ford motors for 30 years, I don't thing it will line up that well. Are you looking at using a 302 or 351 Windsor as even these two are different. Maybe some OHV Ford guys can give you the right info to get you going. Oh and welcome. JW
thanks for that. I was looking at a 427 stroker (351 block.) a windsors just alot cheaper. but wanted to see if i could swap some of the parts over from a clevo or not.
No the Cleveland and the Windsor have the same bell housing. Its the modified that has the big block bell. I personally think the Windsor is a better motor. It fits a little better and has better aftermarket support because it was built for around 25 years on the other hand the Cleveland was only built for 4 years. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B.
