Okay I see in post #18 you have the front tab motor mounts. The motor mount I have will work just fine. Get the truck timing cover from the epay add I posted. You will need a new oil seal and gaskets for it. Water pump will work from a car you'll just need the right pully and spacer to line the belt up. Your generator from your 6 will work with the yblock, just need the proper hardware, which is available. Or convert to an alt. Then get the TCAL 7505 B bell listed above and you should be there. Will need to use headers or ram horns. The exhaust cant go out the back of the engine like on a car. Guys correct me if I'm wrong? or add to it.
I already have some pics posted. You can probably see it there. Saxon, I'm pretty sure you have the mount I need. If you want to PM me your paypal info, I can send you some cash. My last concern is just the bellhousing. I'm gonna try to hit up some parts yards today, but I work 6 days a week, 12 hour days. Everything usually closes by the time I'm off. But I'm on the hunt. My buddy might have a few lying around, I just need to pester him enough to get him to look Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
My 56 ford Pk came factory with a 272 and automatic trans. I still have the original engine & trans. I decided to install a 430 MEL engine with a granny low four speed. I bought the starter bellhousing flywheel 14 inch clutch and trans from a 1968 ford school bus that had a light duty 330 engine. I welded up some side engine mounts and put in a 9 inch rear with 325 gears and it would fry the rear tires. It now has a high milage 1966 352 from a galaxie a bellhousing trans ect from a 76 ford Pk and 355 gears. why not put in side engine mounts and a rear cross member and use a car bellhousing and a later full syncro three speed. That way when you get sick of the Y block the three point mounts will then accept any ford mill & trans (stick or auto) that mounts with two mid engine mounts and a single mount on the trans rear. The 1955 ford PK (traded a $50 horse for it!) I had when I was a teen had a passenger car 56 292 with a teapot carb (still have the carb!) and stock three speed trans. a honest charley cheapo floor shifter was used also. and that,s the way it was mounted. later a 1963 352 and Cruseomatic trans bolted to those fabricated engine mounts.
Thanks for looking out Saxon. The motor is from a truck to the best of my knowledge. Either way, I'm sure Carquest has the stuff I need, just in case. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
