    Hi Guys,
I'm looking at purchasing this pickup and wanted to enlist your support on valuation.

It looks great in the pictures! Judging from what I see on your list and in the photos I would say that at least $35,000 has been spent on the truck. Of course it is only worth what you or another guy that wants it more will pay for it. I would love to have it but I am project poor as usual.

Not to me but I'm a tight wad and I have no interest in a 40 P/U What someone spent on a restoration is of no interest to me. Personally I think you will have to wait a few years before you can recover your investment. If you have plenty of money and you really really want a white 40 P/U you might not agree.

If you paid someone else to build it here in North County, you'd easily pay double or triple that amount. Your question asked if the truck is worth 30k. Short answer ... yes, to most people looking for a nice clean truck with all the streetrod type bells and whistles.

1940 Ford pickups are a good seller in the LA area. I have seen ones such as the one for sale priced from $25K - $40K and higher. We have about ten of these in our little town and I doubt that you could purchase any of them for under $30K. SO-CAL does not build a 40 ch***is that I am aware of. They may have done the work on the ch***is though.
Looks nice in the photos, save the steering column which is easy to change.
    Good luck.

The guys are right---you can't build it for 30k. I'd say if you like the way it's done and have the cash, rock on.

For myself ,I like 40 Ford pickups built along the traditional lines but If you want a white street rod and got the money why ask? buy it. HRP

I would rather have a 15k model a sedan and a 15k model a coupe. Truck is nice so if you fell in love with it go for it. At 30k is it a must have for you? If not a 30k budget gives you many options. Good luck.
