Here's a trophy from the Revell/ Pactra national model contest of 1964. I found it on Ebay. The fellow who won the contest was Mr. Carl R. Kindervater. Looks like he won the first place honors for outstanding paint. The model on it is one of mine. From way back then. Although I never won a trophy for a model I built, I had to have the trophy! It's a pretty cool place to display on. trophy1.jpg trophy2.jpg

Nice find. I'll have to look for one now. I had two of them from back in the day, but I didn't save them. What a dummy. Gary

Just asking . I know it's not sunday. If I wanted to sell some models or resin bodies is the place for that.

My guess is that the moderators would prefer you use the Classified Ad section of the HAMB.

It is weekly (every Sunday). This is a continuous thread that is intended to be refired every Sunday (see my initial proposal on pg. 1, post #16).
As was mentioned, model building usually slows in the Summer months. It'll pick up once the weather turns sour. Meanwhile, post pics of your work...

  26. I know It's meant to be updated every week. What I meant was that it seemed like there was more content when there was a new thread every week (even during your summer), maybe I'm wrong, just seems that way to me.

I went off model building for a long time (maybe 10 years or so) and am just getting back into it now with my 5 year old son when we have the time (which unfortunately seems to be a very rare occasion). I did however get some paint on our current project today so I will post up some pictures when it's dried..... or sunday ;):D.

  27. Sedan delivery mockup. I'll be using the Lincoln engine, not sure about the wheels and front axle yet. Frame and rear axle are scratchbuilt, everything else is from spare parts box.

That's some wild looking paint Zenbone, can you tell us a little about it?
Wojojo, a lot of work going into that A Sedan Delivery, looking good! For some odd reason I get some Deja-vu, it kind of looks familiar?? What other wheels are you looking at?
    Cheers,
    Doc.
