cool stuff. i'd be interested in the history of the Orr's as well. i've learned a bit about them and alot about Veda's 32 since my friend Paul Beck built the clone for the GNRS this year. nobody knows that car better than him at this time concidering all the research he has done and the fact that it's been a favorite of his for decades. not sure what he knows of their history aside from that car but i'll have to ask him. those caps are cool by the way. i'd heard of "Veda Caps" before and wondered if they did'nt have something to do with Veda Orr. now i know.
Anyone have Mark Brizlans # ? he used to own bumpers by Briz, and does alot of casting projects for fun
I think all the Veda Special caps are reproductions, don't think they, the Orrs ever produced any. The one above with the Edmonds in the middle is simply one of Briz Bumper's with the center, Edmonds name, CNCd into it. I've had a set of them for a few years. The reciept said $200. The elusion's already been deluted so why not repop everything.
That's pretty rascaly, the way the outside of the cap is painted to match the wheel. I don't necessarily like it better than the bare metal cap, but look how much the appearance is changed!
Photo of my granddaughter holding her Veda hubcap. Shortly after Steve Sellers cast them I received it in the mail,he read were I was looking for one and he sent it as a gift to Veda. HRP
Rod and Custom did a feature on Veda a few years back. I'll see if I can find my copy. They mentioned she was living in Cypress, tx. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
O'Brien Truckers has been making them for a while, now. https://www.obrientruckers.com/ecom/product/246/2739/
