Kiwi's Kumeu..... who's going ? rumours of beer..... :)

Who's is all hiting Kumeu this year, I'm thinking Beers at my stall probably mid arvo, who's keen and what kinda brown fizzy water do folks drink......
With any luck I should be somewhere off route 66 up by the tower end but awaiting confirmation on that, will be there from Friday arvo.

i'm Unkle Sam's I cart around all those things people don't need but buy anyway, magazines, DVD's, CD's, Mexi blankets, clothing, parts/speed equipment pretty much anything with a bit of the Traditional Rodding to it......
all hauled around in my poor ol Black n Yellow 55 Olds.
There will be reeb eerf but not too much unless I have a real good day at The Best swap in Puke on Sat

 

yup its about 40 min out of town, if he is any kind of petrolhead he will know anyway...... otherwise PM for details.

O.K. hows 2pm sound ? thirst should be up and I might have a chance to talk some b/s by then too, will do an order sheet for HAMB shirts too so I can order after the show.

Speights, COLD. Hopefully there Sat, drags Sunday. Taking the Olds to the BEST this Sat then need to pull motor & box AGAIN as trans playing up badly. Don't want to risk it stuck in traffic at Kumeu. Try & catch you guys around 2.00.

Yeah, Route 66 is probably too rich for me too, but after last year with folks saying they couldn't find me then 1/2 the plonkers between me and there packing up an leaving town on Sunday am I figured I better get closer to the action.......
Will hold one for you Alfster, hopefully the new shipment is in L.A. and flies this weekend, fingers and toes crossed.

Yep - we'll be there doing Beach Hop stuff - in the cheap paddock as well. Heading up about lunch time on Friday - might even have the old BH Falcon convert that has had a major make over. Or in the BH 27T roadster... Pop in and say Howdy.

Throat will be pretty dry and sore by 2pm Saturday....... will need a few cold ones to make it better.

Will be keen for a T shirt Paul - remember we talked about a HAMB line up leading the Thundercruise at the BH? - HAMB T shirts compulsory?

Because Ray is a self serving ***hole who said

" I don't like hot rods and I don't like hot rodders"

and I for one will never let him live that down .

and he wants to ban feds from NZDRA, a****st other "progressive" ideas in his little pea brain.


I am sure the date clash is intentional, it's not the first time. For someone who crys about not being able to compete for a crowd with Speedway on Saturday nights , he does a pretty good job of alienating half of his existing punters at least once a year.

 

I'm flying into AK on the sunday morning , hoping to spend a few hours at the show before heading up to the Bay of islands . Will it be possible for me to get family entry for sunday only at the gate ?

You won't have a problem getting tickets Les. From my experiences Sunday is more of family day with Saturday being more for the Rodders. Do you know how to find Kumeu? It is way out west of Auckland - take the North Western motorway heading for Helensville. The follow the queue of cars....... )

But I feel like telling a story !!!!!!!!! , I moved to Perth from Moerewa about 1973 , got a job offshore on a oil rig and still doing it . I'm offshore in Malaysia , log onto the HAMB & other sites most nites to keep up with the hot rod goss, ( I work 6 pm to 6 am ) Always been into cars , got a 36 3w , Bombed 21 stud flathead , crash box , lowered , L'H drive . faided paint , about perfect I reken , I built a 57 chev coupe ( yellow ) & sold it a couple of years ago to a guy in Auckland called Mark , it has been at Kumeu .

Look out for my stall and say g'day, can't promise any beer by Sunday, will be set up with the green and white sunshade kinda deal hawking my wares out of a black n yellow 55 Olds should be reasonable easy to spot, Sunday is normally a much more laid back day, Sat is very busy......

No PBR I think Speights was the recomendation somewhere up the page, I only drink Burbon so have no idea about the brown fizzy water and whats good or not.
