well i have been sitting in on the board that is put together for organizing the back to the bricks show, and just found out that they are going to be reserving side streets off saginaw for car clubs. so if you guys are interested i could try and reserve kearsley st in front of your shop for you guys. the more club members you have there the easier it will be .but not impossible with 2 or 3 cars .just contact me and let me know. the date of the show is august 19 but if i do something now it will be easier.
I haven't talked to Steve or Chris about this but if they are up for it I'm sure the rest of the Nightmares can add 3 or 4 more cars to it. The Nightmares did the Sloan show last year and had a good time. Kritz even got some ink (the other kind of ink) out of it pinstriping George's truck.
I don't know...it's quite a drive (2 miles). Well, OK I'll do it. It was pretty fun last year. Steve made a lot of friends goin' through barricades w/fnederwell headers and high compression.
I'm down... One more thing Primer, I know that you're already in a pretty big club; but I bet none of the Nightmares would mind if you wanted to park with us...
if im free from the hell i call work ill be there, and would really like parking with the nightmares. i will let you know as soon as i get it in writing on the parking thing.
I would like to reserve the other side of Kearsley, for my car club "The Bad Dreams." I dont want to be on the same side as them guys, because there is bound to be turf wars.
Just don't have the turf war during nap time or Frank and I will miss it. BTW what is the date of this thing?
I heard the date is to try to combine the woodward cruise up to flint. The cruise takes place right here, but warmer.
And if you go to the second light and hang a left (where it says "No left turn" ), you're at mine and Kritz's sweet tatty shop...
Joe if you need a former eastside "OG" let me know...by the way that stands for "OLD GUY".... i STILL GOT SOME S**** LEFT IN ME...
Over the past few years we have gone down and spent Friday cruisin Woodward. All the Corporate displays are set up and there are a lot of cars cruising but not so many that it turns into a big parking lot. We can do that again this year and then just come to Flint on Saturday. Wow two days in a row .... I don't know if I can stand that much excitement
I can't wait. The Dream Cruise just isn't fun to mme anymore. I can go to Wal Mart and park. The flint deal is really cool.
Hey Pat, you can be a "Bad Dream" if you want. I have discussed this before, my club isnt into fighting, as much as dancing. Be prepared to get "served" *****es.
guess ill park on the yellow line because you guys scare me (steve-joe) this year should be cool they are going to have a couple live bands, dont know who yet, more venders and sponsors. this is also the same day as our cruise nite so anybody that wants can run by flushing and flint both. flint is from 10:00am-10:00pm, also the big kicker is they are thinking of adding a fridaynight kickoff party downtown after 5:00pm .
Ran into Stacy at Home Depot during lunch today (mmmmmmmmm.....bolts and panel board, yum). Sounds like they need some hlep promoting this thing. Alot of closed mided people trying to runthis thing. They choose not to see the full spectrum. This is supposed to be fun and I get the feeling some are in it for pwesonal financial gain. Let's see what we can do to make this a fun, family oriented event.
That would rock. I really hope I can make it - and I've been doing my part in the mean time to make lots of "family" as fast as I can. I drive to Detroit every effin day, so having a Phlint event like this really needs to take off. Woodward is considered a national event - just imagine how much bigger that weekend would get iffin "that whole thing" could be extended all the way up here with all the towns in between. I think it could have the potential to turn Dixie/Dort highway cruising into being an even bigger and better event that just Woodward. One thing that may help would be to get some push from some of the folks who promote the Woodward thing.
Don't mean to be lame and step on your thread but do any of you Flint folks know Bob Budzinski (aka "Bud" of all things). He would be about 63-64 now I guess. We were in the Army together in Colorado for a couple years in 61-62, and were into hotrods, beer, a nd raising hell. He got sent off to Korea and I haven't heard of him since. This is a long shot but it would be cool to say hello after all these years and I imagine he would still be into hotrods. Your car cruze sounds like one hell of an event, get it on.... 31ACoupe george wilson pine ridge, sd (Bud would remember his visits here!)
