Can someone paste a pic of the '30 'A' Roadster Russ built in the '70s? Olds Toronado engine and transaxle, (rear-engined!) The body was hinged at the front, (below the radiator!) and it 'flopped' like a funny car, only opposite. The most ingenious engineering I had ever seen...Very inspiring. Car was from the Portland area, I believe... (belonged to a friend of John Corno?)
just look up A M B R winners.........it was one, russ widend buick wires for it and much more.....last I heard it was in mid west....Heres a pic of John Corno and Russ Meeks when the car was still fresh
Meatball, Corno's roadster is in Salem,Or. now. I built stainless headers and a twin turbo set up for John Slaughter when he revamped it the mid-eightys. It has undergone many changes and owners since it won the big trophy in 72. It was shown at the 50th GRNS at the Cow Palace in 99.
when was this lowering completed? Driven it much since? love how it sits,, want my 58 short-wide to sit like that. Any issues..?
Paint is going to be Panel job silver with green as the panels. The suspesion was finished in fall 2011 I have been driving it a lot over the past two summers with no problems at all. I used longer leaf springs in the front to help keep bump steer down and we put more caster in it for better steering response.
