OK Guys Here is the deal. Dad built this one to kinda re-create a car he built in 1947. Yep, 1947--- But some modern stuff had to go with it. Mom said she would not ride it in if it did not have Air Conditioning AND she remembered those little doors on the old roadster were pretty dang small, So Dad stretched the body and doors 5"- Added the Heat and A/C... Built the removable Carson top. Got it down low and you sit inside down LOW and all cozy n-stuff. The car has a belly pan style look and a shortened 32 grill and shell. The hood has openings, but the lower side panels help give it the full belly pan look. The car is all black with dark red interior and the white top. I have him in a video talking about the car as he walks around it. Found this one photo when it was at the Calistoga Vintage Sprint Car Night. We lifted the top so you could see that it is removable. Kinda looks strange in this pose. Dad is building a 27 Track roadster now... midget nose, full hood, 4 banger with side draft Webbers sticking out the one side and the exhaust out the other side and along the side of the car out the back-- So Mom said time for one toy to go. Well what can I say, We are never to old to play with cars!
Found this picture of one of Dad's track Roadsters. I think this was at the Phoenix Fairgrounds around 1951/2. Wayne Wyler and Doyle Jones in the picture. Wayne drove Dad's Roadsters and Sprint Cars.
